SEALA Colors

SEALA 1, DAY 2

Leaders need to be highly self-aware – both with regard to their own personality traits, and in how they relate and communicate to others. These are the themes of Day 2.

Anand discusses Personalysis, a survey-based assessment tool that provides insights into how people solve problems, deal with others, and cope under stress. Color graphs represent the variations of four personality elements across three different behavior states.

Raj Agarwal's preferred, rational behavior tends towards the fire-red zone, the color that symbolizes "I Can Do." Karan Sharma feels confident and effective in the sky-blue zone, symbolizing "I Can Choose."

Karan is a peaceful man in harmony with his shirt.

Ravi's shirt stridently proclaims "I Can Influence" (yellow) and "I Can Control" (green).

SEALA staff Serena Hagerty's shirt whispers, "Somebody went clothes shopping in Chennai yesterday."

Adam Albion introduces late arrival Navneet Mathur to the group.

Leaders must communicate and persuade effectively. John King explains how stories can be the best instruments to transmit a leader's values and vision in order to establish critical relationships. But first, he primes the class with an unconventional listening exercise.

John has got Shamama Arbab in his sights.

Rahul plays the air castanets.

Shadab demonstrates the poise and concentration of a tango dancer...

... while Su definitely has a future waiting for her in Bollywood!

Agustinus Gunadharma flashes his movie star smile.

Sunil Sathyaprabhu is a charismatic and impactful leader with a compelling story to tell.

Jim relates a "defining moment" from his own life, inviting others to share their own in the intimacy of the upcoming breakout sessions.

Su and Tasneem Khan enjoy a blessed breeze as they take their refreshment on the tenth floor balcony.

Gearing up to tell "defining moment" stories that shaped our characters and crystallized our values: Breakout Group I.

Breakout Group II.

Time for dinner.

As evening descends on the Bay of Bengal, we can reflect on another long but fulfilling day in the company of our SEALA peers. It's only Day 2 – and yet what stories we have shared, what colorful personalities we have met, what distances we have already traversed together since only yesterday!
