O Frabjous Day!

SEALA 2, DAY 7

A rearrangement of the seating plan is emblematic of more radical changes in store this morning, as Andrea Bednar prepares to rearrange the furniture of our minds.

Change can be necessary and welcome, yet frustratingly difficult to implement, even when the desire and motivation to change old habits are compelling. Andrea notes how individual beliefs and collective mind-sets can create a natural but potent immunity to change.

However, if we overcome the forces dragging us down, we can rise in the sky, like a giant balloon. Feldatun and Sridhar are feeling the uplift.

"The light... the light... it's... so... beautiful..."

Mei Ching is starting to soar.

Naza's on the way up! Nothing's going to hold this woman down.

The Immunity to Change Map is a tool that assists in identifying the factors contributing to inertia in our lives. Pairs support one another in this (sometimes unsettling) inwards exploration.

David discusses competing commitments within the safe space created by the group.

Lots of material here for the facilitators, too! No one's immune to the blockages we are unlocking.

SEALA 1 superstar Izam Ismail stops by to greet many old friends, including classmate (now SEALA 2 facilitator) Sadaf Mahmood.

"O FRABJOUS DAY! CALLOOH! CALLAY!" (from Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll). The gates of the castle swing open and SEALA participants are granted a HALF-DAY HOLIDAY!

First stop: The Royal Selangor Visitor Centre to learn about pewter.

Tour of the pewter factory.

What could be cuter than pewter?

 Suhel's a hands-on kind of guy.

A private moment of beery joy for Prajna.

Next stop: the Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge.

The Skybridge is a natural, selfie-rich environment.

The dark Tower of Sauron the evil Lord of Mordor... mwahahaha!... Otherwise known as the Petronas Tower spire viewed from the 87th floor Observation Deck.

Sauron the evil Lord of Mordor in person... mwahahaha!... Otherwise known as facilitator Khudabuksh Walji.

The long elevator ride down to the ground.

Final stop: sky dining at Canteloupe Restaurant  another selfie-friendly environment!

Terima kasih banyak! A huge thank you to Amy Kam from the whole SEALA group for organizing a fabulous, frabjous Kuala Lumpur excursion that combined learning, sightseeing, entertainment, shopping and culinary excitement in perfect proportions.
